Local teen band to perform at Ole Time Festival

The 10th Annual Ole Time Festival has a new band performing at their festival on Saturday. The band's punk rock mix gives fresh energy into the festival. Check out more information from Going Postal:

The popular, local, all teen, Pop/Punk-Rock band “Going Postal” is slated to open for locally respected Country Artist “Greg Griffin & the Dry Creek Band”, at the 10th annual Ole Time Festival in Vancleave, MS.  Taking center stage at 10:00 AM, Saturday March 26, 2011;  “Going Postal” starts the entertainment by rocking the crowd to cover songs by “All Time Low”, “Blink 182”, “All American Rejects”, “Paramore” and several original songs.

The South Mississippi Mule & Horse Association sponsors the annual event, held at the Vancleave arena, 5400 Ballpark Road.   In addition to mule and horse pulls, there will be high speed rodeo action, bull riding and barrel racing.   In previous years this event has drawn thousands from around the coast and continues to grow.  The Ole Time Festival offers arts, crafts, a petting zoo and the ever popular “Prettiest Rooster” contest.  Gates open at Noon on Friday, March 25, 2011 and at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2011.  Admission is $10.00 for those 6 to 64; $5.00 for toddlers to 5 and those 65 and over.

A teenagers dream is shaping up on the Gulf Coast as the all-teen band “Going Postal” is set to record their first EP disc (Early Production) this April at Wonga Studios in Gulfport, MS.  Making this band unique is having two lead vocalists (one male, one female – seldom seen in this genre). By having a male and a female lead singer, the band can cover songs by groups featuring either male or female vocalists.  A new dimension is created in their music by having the singers switch leads, sing duets and by alternating verses on their original songs; bringing a whole new creative approach to their brand of music.

Please come out and meet Belita (vocals/keyboard), Brandon (vocals/guitar), Terry (Drums), and Aaron (bass/back-up vocals).  “Going Postal” is signed to Indie Label: TABB Records – which is responsible for managing, booking, marketing and promoting the band.
