Vancleave woman arrested for check fraud | Crime

Ocean Springs police said Tuesday, a Vancleave woman was arrested in her home charged with several counts of check fraud.

Shao C. Zheng's arrest stems from a report made by Wood Forest National Bank to the Ocean Springs Police Department, Detective William Jackson said.

The bank reportedly told police Zheng had committed 16 counts of check fraud since November 2, 2012.

Jackson said investigators discovered Zheng committed seven of the 16 counts in Ocean Springs. As for the remaining nine counts of check fraud, Jackson said, further investigation revealed those happened in D'Iberville.

D'Iberville police were notified and have placed a hold on Zheng for check fraud. The suspect is currently behind bars at the Ocean Springs jail under a $4,000 bond.
