One of the best parts of South Mississippi is being able to take part in a slew of events inside and outside and happening at all hours of the day. Here are six things you're not going to want to miss.

Anglers bring your rods and reels over to one of the largest fishing rodeos in Hancock County. It's called the 2nd Annual WCA Bay-Waveland Fishing Rodeo. Prizes will be given to the person with the largest catch. And for those who aren't catching fish you can fish for fun with carnival rides and tasty bites.

Heavy thunderstorms moving across South Mississippi have covered many roads with water, making driving dangerous this evening.

Authorities in D'Iberville are asking drivers to avoid the intersection of Boney Street and D'Iberville Blvd because water is being pushed into the area stores.

Around 6:30pm, the Biloxi Fire Department had blocked off flooded lanes of Hwy 90 at Miramar, forcing drivers to use an alternate route. An hour later, the road was reopened.
